Jane Samuel
Jane Samuel has been working with students for over 30 years. She began her teaching career in 1972 following graduation from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. She quickly became known for working specifically with girls and young women as she taught and coached in a large public school system.
In 1981 she obtained a Masters Degree from Brigham Young University.
After 14 years in public education Jane shifted direction and joined the growing private therapeutic education network where she was instrumental in establishing several new schools.
Jane was the first Admissions Director at Mt. Bachelor Academy and later was on the founding staff of the Northstar Center. She then helped to establish a second campus for New Leaf Academy. Though she has worked in both co-ed and single-sex schools, she has become known for designing innovative programs to help young women discover their potential and build self-esteem through personal growth activities.
In December of 2005 Jane fulfilled a desire to join her long-time colleague Sharon Laney at Three Springs. Initially acting as the Independent Educational Consultant Liaison and representing all Three Springs programs Jane worked closely with the Educational Consultant Community.
Jane accepted the position of Head of School at Auldern Academy in July of 2006.
When not working with her Auldern girls Jane enjoys a variety of arts and crafts activities including ceramics, beading, paper crafts and needlework. She is also an outdoors enthusiast and enjoys early morning jogs, walking her dog and hiking natural areas with her husband, Steve. Jane believes in the healing power of nature and works to share this love with the girls in her care.
