William “Bill” Grant

Assistant Head of School

After spending over 20 years at independent boarding schools around the country, Bill Grant joined the staff of Auldern Academy as Assistant Head of School in 2006.

Bill began his career as a Biology and Chemistry instructor at Riverside Military Academy in Gainesville, GA where he also served as Admissions Counselor and Director of Student Activities. As an Academic Administrator who loves spending time in the classroom, Bill's "dual career"  has taken him to Darlington School (Rome, GA), Mercersburg Academy (Mercersburg, PA), Storm King School (Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY) and Brandon Hall School (Atlanta, GA).

Before joining the staff of Auldern Academy Bill oversaw day-to-day operations at Squaw Valley Academy in Lake Tahoe, CA, where he served as Campus Dean. While he enjoyed the experience greatly, the snow proved to be too much for this Southern gentleman. Happy to be in warmer climate, he is excited to work with the students and faculty of Auldern Academy. According to Bill he felt connected to the school from his first drive up the long, winding entrance and immediately recognized the school's family atmosphere.

During his free time Bill enjoys reading mystery novels, working in the yard and exploring local shopping opportunities.

At Auldern Academy Bill assists the Head of School in managing the daily operations of the school and still enjoys spending time in the classroom.
